She walked up the beach holding her shoes, and as the waves crashed into the beach I heard Willie asking if she needed any help. She teased him a little and as he teased back they both laughed together. It was a great day, no a wonderful day, no it was the Best Day and they shared it with friends and family and us.

The bellboy took my luggage and I held on really tight and said, No! Ive got this one. I was referring to my Thinktank international photo travel bag. Marco says I wasnt rude but I think he is sparing my feelings. I had a lot to look after! And I wanted Willie and JoeAnnas wedding to go off without a hitch; even if that means clutching the life out of my equipment. The big glass doors slid open, I looked up to a beautiful stained glass ceiling and the words, WOW actually came out of my mouth. I knew that they had actually come out because Marco chuckled a little. We turned right and there were Willie and JoeAnna helping check in their families. We hung out for awhile and then went to our room to drop off the suitcase I had been clutching onto for several hours. (It really wasnt that bad but in hindsight it is kinda funny). We walked into our room, flung ourselves on the bed, and we both sighed. We made it! The room was beautiful, we locked up our equipment and went to scout out all of our locations for the next day. There were plenty! We started with the gazebo where the bride and groom would say I Do, down the steps to the beach for the family shots and along the dock for fun groups, we ended our journey that night at the restaurant where the two would dine with family and friends for the first time as man and wife. Their colors and theme were evident everywhere, even in the unity sand. Cute bottles. I collect jars and bottles like this, I love it!
This is a detail from the wooden fans they had for their guests. Very nice touch for a Cancun wedding! I Love this picture! LOVE IT! Totally photojournalism, I couldnt have planned it any better. There was parasailing at the resort: Moon Palace, Cancun Mexico and it wasnt too far from where JoeAnna and Willie got married. When we did photos on the beach there were some unplanned guests in a few photos, like this one. Luckily they didnt stay long and the rest of the pics were vacationer-free.
This dock was awesome! It allowed us to be out in the water without getting wet. Plus, the colors rocked! Isnt that yellow great with the guys linen suits and their bright ties?
There were palm trees, I had to get a few in the shots! The restaurant was amazing and the food delish. Everyone had a great time, talking and celebrating.
I love day after sessions, especially for destination weddings. (We offer them free for now with every destination wedding package). This allows the bride and groom to enjoy their celebration with their family and friends and then take a few more pictures the next day at some other locations. JoeAnna and Willie had their next day session the next morning when it wasnt so hot. Here are a few of my favs.
