Melinda and Bryan's Elegant Urban Wedding in Kansas City
Urban Elegance : Melinda and Bryan's Wedding. It was beautiful with Pink and Orange splashes of color, unique flowers, and colored lighting. By the time we were photographing their wedding I had photographed Melinda at least 3 times. It was fun! That day Melinda married her best friend Bryan. I cried!

Melinda + Bryan: Getting Ready in Style
Classically Beautiful and Modern, Modern, Modern! Melinda and Bryan had a Wedding that was nothing but cutting edge and clearly Modern. Marco and I met Melinda and Bryan at the big bridal show through the Perfect Wedding Guide at the Overland Park Convention Center. A few days later we met for a private consultation; they booked on the spot and we went out for a full day engagement shoot and dinner. It was a blast and now Melinda is helping me with my wedding! Though I have to be honest, isn't very far along in the process. But hey, I have a few years!

Melindas wedding was Unique, Modern, and honestly just down right Gorgeous. From the moment I got there I was greeted with a wide smile and a beautiful bride getting her make-up done. Jolie, a wonderful make-up artist polished Melindas look and met her at the ceremony site for some touch-ups before Melinda and Bryan said, I Do. Melindas bridal party was really fun and outgoing, and every single girl supported Melinda as she got ready. It was refreshing to find so many helpful bridesmaids at hand, finding shoes, getting her dress out and the jacket for all of the cold weather, they helped Marco and I out with the reveal. And this is so cool: these bridesmaids are so talented, one girl made Melindas hair piece for her, and her Maid of honor sowed a hook tighter into place.

It was really amazing to photograph Bryans reaction to Melinda during the private reveal at their house. There are so many wonderful, beautiful shots of Melinda getting ready. I absolutely love the B/W.

Melinda + Bryan: Urban Chic Kansas City Wedding
Melinda is my trend setter. You will find her cake in magazines, her flowers in books, and her colors which she picked out over a year ago combined in a Coach Purse. Her colors; Pink and Orange wedding, are the number one color combination this year! But Melinda did it first, and I got to photograph it! Melindas getting ready photos were taken at her home and were featured in our last post. We left Melinda and Bryans house, stepped into an amazing party bus, with an exceptional driver, who drove us everywhere and even stopped in the middle of the street in the Crossroads Arts District for us to get a great street shot. Not to worry, we were downtown and the traffic in the city isn't busy on a Saturday, especially if you pick a one way street.

The photos were taken all over from Loose Park, the urban streets of Kansas City, and Terrace on Grand, where they got married and had their reception. The flowers were from Blue Bouquet, one of our favorite florists. They truly made Melindas bouquet very different and completely her.

One of my favorite things about Melinda and Bryan is that they took the time for amazing portraits. Time for traditional, time for their family, time for their friends, and time for them to hang out and have fun. Here are their photos.

Melindas Bridal Portraits

Weddings arent all about the bride anymore. There are so many things and people involved in weddings that though the day is the brides it cant possibly be all about her. So, we offer bridal portraits where the day is all about the bride. For a few hours all the bride has to do is look smashing and Express The Dress.

Melinda came up to our new studio carrying her dress up to the 7th floor, she had a smile that I will never forget. She couldnt wait to show me her dress and I was bursting with excitement. I smiled all day and had so much fun, but really it wasnt just about fun it was about creating art just for Melinda. We got creative and hung out like we were two old friends as she modeled her gown over and over again. The urban chic photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Melinda, I hope you love the pictures as much as I do.
